All old girls are invited to attend a St Mary's Hall reunion and networking event in London - an opportunity to meet old friends and see what the SMHA Network could offer you.

We do hope you will be able to join us at 120 Moorgate, London (next to Moorgate Tube Station) from 6.30pm – 8.30pm on Thursday 15th March 2012. 

Owing to the generosity of an old girl’s son, the hire fee for the event has been waived. Tickets will cost £12 to include a couple of glasses of wine and nibbles. 

To make the evening a success, we need your wholehearted support. Several members of SMH staff have already promised to attend. We trust you will join us and encourage others from your year group to attend.

All members are warmly invited to have a short break in Louth, Lincolnshire, next July. On Saturday 14th July 2012 Old Girl Anne Fridal will give an evening concert at St. James Church Louth. She will be supported by Louth Male Voice Choir.

Anne will also be giving a free masterclass for 6 local singers on three days from Wednesday 11th July. Kenwick Park Lodges and Hotel will be the location for a reunion for SMHA Old Girls, on the Friday evening. There are other options for places to stay in the actual town which can be found on the internet, for any interested parties that would prefer to be in town.

Douglas D'Enno, son of SMH Old Girl Anne-Marie Burns who was a pupil at the school in the 1920s, has written a fascinating book about East Brighton andOvingdean. (The volume is intended as a companion to his previous publication, 'Rottingdean through Time').

Douglas spent some this summer at the school taking photos for the book which is available from Amazon (East Brighton and Ovingdean Through Time).

This photograph of the school, taken from the book, will, I am sure, interest readers.

East Brighton Bygones Local History Society have many interesting images of the School. They have kindly given us permission to link to their page from here.
